Designed by John Roshell, Excelsius is a comic and hand show font family. This typeface has three styles and was released by Comicraft.

Once upon a midnight uninspiring, this Comicraftsman considered, weak and tired,
For a name associated with Mighty and Splendid comics lore.
Solid, Summary, Inline was the anonymous font style I 'd crafted,
I nodded, nearly sleeping o'er the work I 'd grafted
When unexpectedly came a tapping,
As of someone carefully rapping, rapping at my cubicle door.
"‘‘ Tis some visitor," I whispered, "tapping at my cubicle door——
Calling out "EXCELSIOR!"

Then an Amazing Vision seduced my unfortunate fancy into smilin',
By the Magnificent etiquette of the countenance it used,
" Though thy crest be shorn and shaven," he said, "thou art sure no craven,
And thy typeface needs to not remain anonymous here forevermore!"
Excitedly I wished the morrow; vainly I had sought to borrow
From comic books surcease of sadness, letters that called out "EXCELSIOR!"

Then, upon the velour sinking, I betook myself to linking
Fancy unto fancy, thinking of the nominative neuter singular thing
Like Some Silvered Internet user wandering from the Nightly shore——
The Vision shrieked, upstarting——" Inform me what thy lordly name is therefore!"
Quoth the Craftsman: "EXCELSIUS!"
