The household consists of 4 weights: Regular, Italic, Vibrant, and Bold Italic and is preferably fit for advertising and packaging, book text, editorial and publishing, logo, branding and imaginative markets, poster and billboards as well as small text.

FF Nexus Sans offers advanced typographical assistance with functions such as ligatures, small capitals, alternate characters, case-sensitive types, fractions, and very- and subscript characters.

It comes with a complete series of figure set options-- oldstyle and lining figures, each in tabular and proportional widths.

In 2006, FF Nexus Sans received the Creative Review Type Style award.
