Developed by Oleg Karpinsky, Freehand 471 is a hand drawn typeface published by ParaType.

Freehand 471 is the Bitstream variation of Waterfall Script by Matthew Carter. Launched by Mergenthaler Linotype in 1965, this style is based on an earlier type by the Ludlow foundry. It's a dark, disconnected script with angular kinds. It seems written by heavy marker and hence appropriate for informal posters and signs and for advertising and screen typography as well.

Central European, Cyrillic, and Greek Monotonic characters were designed by Oleg Karpinsky. Released by ParaType in 2011.
