Futura was developed for Bauer business in 1927 by Paul Renner. This is a sans serif face based on geometrical shapes, representative of the looks of the Bauhaus school of the 1920s-30s. Provided by the Bauer Foundry in a wide variety of weights and widths, Futura ended up being an incredibly popular option for text and display setting. Initially Cyrillic variation of eight styles was developed at ParaType (ParaGraph) in 1995 by Vladimir Yefimov. Additional Cyrillic styles were developed in 2007 by Isabella Chaeva. Concurrently the old 8 designs were partly modified to match the entire household. Now the brand-new Futura is a consistent type system consisted of 7 weights with corresponding obliques plus 8 condensed designs. All these font styles are coordinated in letterforms, metrics, and weights to better working together.
