Publisher: HanodedGalangal, or Laos, is a root coming from the ginger household, which is used in Indonesian food. Given that this font style has the very same style characteristics as Kurkuma, I believed calling it after a root was rather appropriate.
Galangal is pretty special, with thin and fat areas, unusual glyphs and rough edges. Upper and lower case are fully interchangeable and the typeface comes with a complete series of diacritics.
