Gamer was developed by Rebecca Alaccari, Patrick Griffin and published by Canada Type. Player includes 6 styles and household plan alternatives. p > Canada Type launched the first variation of Gamer in August of 2004. It was designed after a few 1972 publication advertisement letters, the origin of which was later on identified as a typical movie type called Checkmate.

In the spring of 2006, Patrick Griffin revisited the household to enhance a few minor oversights and add small caps to the quick mechanical face. Now Player is truer than ever to its popular history as the defining Escape From New york city movie poster and product packaging face, a weapon with a six-barrel engine that exhibits heat, speed, strength and sharpness.

Gamer comes in all popular font style formats, and consists of a few alternates within the character map of each of its typefaces.
