Developed by Dave Rowland, Gelato Luxe is a brush script font published by Schizotype Fonts.

Back in 2011, Gelato Script was launched, and soon ended up being a best-seller. It has stayed popular, appearing on whatever from designer bags to primetime TELEVISION programs; from food blog sites to wedding event invitations; from shiny publications to (not so imaginatively!) ice cream shops.

All these years on, and it stuck me that there is much that might be enhanced on; there are particular glyphs that never ever rather felt right. So I decided to upgrade Gelato Script, and this is the outcome, Gelato Luxe. What started as a simple upgrade quickly spiralled into an overall overhaul. There is not a single glyph in the brand-new version that's gone the same. The whole font style has actually been tweaked and played with and redrawn and respaced and rekerned to get it to this point. While I desired to maintain the feel of Gelato Script, Gelato Luxe represents an enormous leap in sophistication, with brand-new alternates for smoother connections, and an absolutely new OpenType engine, without any fewer than seventeen stylistic sets.

Gelato Luxe is a really versatile script typeface. You can easily alter the feel by having fun with the many OpenType functions. Make certain contextual alternates and standard ligatures are switched on, and it will work like an appeal right out of the box. See the user guide in the gallery area for an explanation of all the features.
