Genera was designed by Wahyu Wibowo and published by Wahyu and Sani Co. Genera consists of 44 styles and family plan choices. The font is currently # 10 in Hot New Fonts. p > Genera is low contrast and neutral typeface for general design usage. It was developed based on grotesque typefaces' custom with a special touch to offer the typeface its own personality. It has large x-height, generous width, nearly consistent monoline look on all weights and the most noticeable part is the unique terminal kind of lowercase 'f', 'j', 'r', and 'y' which have straight horizontal side and curved line in the other side.

Genera has its twin brother which has extra Alt on its name which means Alternate.The alternate glyphs letterform was influenced by Futura with its basic geometric form, that make this Alt version less legible than the fundamental one and makes it appropriate for display screen purposes.

Genera font style household has 44 members and includes:

- 4 variable font styles (basic version; upright and oblique, alternate variation; upright and oblique),

- 40 single font styles (fundamental variation; upright and oblique in 10 weights, alternate version; upright and oblique in 10 weights).

Each typeface has 470+ glyphs which covers Western and Eastern Europe Latin based languages. Each font style file is also geared up with some OpenType layout Functions; Ordinal, Superior, Stylistic Alternates, Proportional Figure, Portion, Numerator and Denominator.
