Gibbs is a sans serif font style household. This typeface has twelve styles and was released by Typetanic Fonts.

Gibbs is a tough, advanced sans, named for prolific maritime designer William Francis Gibbs and influenced by his biggest design, the record-breaking mid-century luxury liner SS United States. Taking different cues from the distinct cast aluminum signs found on board, the result is really transatlantic-- someplace in between industrial American vernacular lettering and the English humanist styles of Gill or Johnston. Both trendy and comfy to read, and with an extensive list of OpenType features, Gibbs allows you to set quality type with ease at both text and screen sizes.

Built in 1952, the lovely United States was the most revolutionary ship in the world when new. After a flawless 17-year career, she now sits unused and remains in risk of scrapping. Her existing owner, the non-profit SS United States Conservancy, wishes to bring back the ship as a vibrant waterside development and museum for future generations to take pleasure in for years to come.
