Giureska was created by João Henrique Lopes and published by URW Type Foundry. Giureska contains 5 designs and family package alternatives. p > I constantly admired the appeal of Gothic letters, but lamented their low readability. The revivals of Gothic faces are gorgeous, but they restore whatever, including the qualities that avoid readability. Blackletters are fine in advertisements and titles, however can't be used in long texts (like books on Middle Ages, Middle ages love etc) where they would be the best historical option. And I wished to alter this circumstance.

With Giureska, rather of taking one specific face to restore, I selected the very best qualities from numerous Gothic faces, i.e. the types that were pleasant to look and simple to check out. For the 'small caps', I studied uncial scripts and made a comparable choice, adjusting everything to make an unified font. With three weights, true italics and the uncials, Giureska can sustain a variety of projects, bringing the appeal of Middle Ages much beyond the cover.
