Publisher: Matteson Typographics
Goudy National was developed by Frederic Goudy, Steve Matteson and published by Matteson Typographics.
Goudy National consists of 6 designs and family package options. p > Frederic Goudy designed National Old Style Roman in 1916. It is loosely based upon a logo he lettered for the National Biscuit Company in 1901. Steve Matteson expanded on Goudy's initial by developing a vibrant, semibold and coordinating italics. While much of Goudy's work is strongly affected by Venetian types of the 15th and 16th centuries - this design has a genuinely American quality about it. The design works for text or headlines that catches a sense of Americana.
