Gramma is a compact sans with big x-height, a robust and balanced typeface that work well both for headings and primary bodies of text.
The initial building and constructions, assembled from a few well-defined geometric modules, were later on polished into more natural kinds; the letters' arches are rather squared, and the counters and other internal negative spaces push outward, developing a tension that balances the forms' compression.
Gramma's most obvious characteristic is its "bird-beak" terminals (present in many letters, consisting of the c, e, f, s.) that reproduce the inapplicable points between stem and curve, noticeable in the a, b, d, g, h.
