Guenter type got its name after Guenter Gnauck-- the calligrapher from Eastern Germany whose works brought an inspiration and preliminary incitement for the design. But in contradiction to the calligraphic nature of the motivation source Guenter has a particular building that is built solely with straight stems. Like KvadratZ family Guenter belongs to so called ‘‘ in-one-touch' series. The first version in one standard style was established by Zakhar Yaschin in 2001. In 2009 the typeface was redesigned with addition of 3 new designs and released by ParaType as a family.
