Gutenberg ADesigner: José Alberto Mauricio
Publisher: Alter Littera
Gutenberg A was developed by José Alberto Mauricio and released by Alter Littera. Gutenberg A contains 1 design. p > This is a totally free abridged edition of the full-featured Gutenberg B and Gutenberg C font styles. Although (as the name suggests) it was originally conceived as the first release in the B42-type series, it actually represents the colophon to this series. In addition to having a narrower scope, the font varies from its full-featured predecesors in both letter and word spacing, as well as in glyph style, utilizing solely straight lines for every single glyph and offering a significantly rough look at medium to large point sizes. The font includes the typical standard characters for typesetting contemporary texts, along with a couple of special characters, alternates and ligatures that can be utilized for typesetting nearly as in Johann Gutenberg's 42-line Bible and later incunabula. Please keep in mind that using this free typeface undergoes the same terms and conditions as those for Alter Littera's pay fonts.

Specimen, comprehensive character map, OpenType functions, and font samples readily available at Alter Littera's The Oldtype "Gutenberg A" Font Page.
