A lively caricature of a midcentury monstrous, Guzzo is a fresh addition to the Monotype Library. Rather eccentric and full of surprises, its unmistakable peculiarity can be found on closer inspection, originating from information proudly borrowed from brush lettering and calligraphy.

The vast array of weights and style can take you through any design space, from the condensed weights squeezing in bigger headlines or dense blocks of text with the condensed variety, to try out small point sizes, labels or packaging with the prolonged cut. Nevertheless, Guzzo's real appeal is probably best revealed through its wonderfully lively shapes, its uncommon 'laid-back italics' feature cursive kinds and a backslant.
