Happy is what pleased does, as they state.
Well, this font is very happy, and does a lot to show it. Its letters jump for pleasure, bounce with excitement, roll with enjoyment, welcome you with a party state of mind, and leave you with a smile.
Happy is the digital variation of one the most whimsical handles typewriters ever made, an early 1970s Tony Stan film type called Ap-Ap (as in "If you more than happy and you know it, clap your hands, Ap-Ap", but we might be envisioning things). A few of the initial characters were replaced with more fitting ones, but the initial ones are still available as alternates within the typeface. We also made italics and bolds to make you Happy-er.
.This typeface is the equivalent of somebody's attempt to draw the letters of a typewriter with a round ball pen, and with total neglect to standard type rules such as standard, stroke width, serif harmony, etc. The outcome is a special feel-good font style that can't help however make its readers smile.
.Happy is an exceptional option for children's books, retro style, welcoming cards and invitations, posters, party leaflets, brief cartoons, or that silly yard sale sheet you're going to tape on every pole in the neighborhood.
.So, if you more than happy and you understand it, clap your hands… … and try this font!
