Hawking is a piece typeface with a little squarish shapes and a logical, contemporary appearance. The font style has a very little modulation, generous counterforms and reasonably large x-height with lowercase ascenders extending above the cap-height for more legibility. Serifs are composed of curved and straight lines, which give the font style a robust appearance and strong personality.

Hawking was specifically designed for use in clinical publications (hence its name), however it can also be utilized with other kind of constant text, such as journalistic, technical or literary texts. Its much heavier weights make it also appropriate for any screen usage (e.g. headlines).
