Haylurker was created by Matt Chisholm and published by Glyphobet. Haylurker includes 2 designs and household package choices. p > Haylurker combines blackletter components at the bottom of the characters with a special serif forming a solid line at the x-height.

Haylurker was originally designed, as Shark, for the masthead of The Fish Rap Live!, the alternative student newspaper at the University of California at Santa Cruz.

The K and Cyrillic Ж are reminiscent of the legs of a cricket or insect; Blackletter is traditionally German. For that reason, the name is the direct translation of the German word for grass-hopper, Heuschrecke.

It includes the Greek and Cyrillic alphabets, little capitals, and a full set of accented characters.

NOTE: You do not require to install HaylurkerSmallCaps OTF unless you are working with a tradition application that does not support OpenType small caps features (smcp and c2sc tables). The HaylurkerRegular OTF includes all the small-caps variations in an OpenType table.
