Hebden was created by Lewis McGuffie and published by Lewis McGuffie Type. Hebden consists of 2 designs and family package choices. p > Hebden is a 'Northern' typeface. Influenced by the town Hebden Bridge in Yorkshire, the household is a mix of a grotesque and an incised serif. The grot is based on Victorian train station signage and the serif is design that can be spotted around the Yorkshire Dales region. Hebden has a nostalgic twist and is perfect for labelling, signage and remarkable messages.

The monstrous confront with its robust angles and warm circular curves remembers the design of traditional English sans-serifs like Caslon's 2-Line Egyptian. The incised face has strong however advanced and natural forms and is based on a wood carved design popular in the early 20th century.

The weight of the two faces are drawn to match each other creating an evenly well balanced mix. Both faces include caps, lower caps throughout letters and characters, and have Western, Central and Eastern European language assistance.
