RodríguezHermann is one of our most understandable typefaces up until now. Because in 2015, the W Style team had actually been examining carefully the possibility of developing a text font. Therefore, we dug into ideas within some of our preferred novels, such as The Steppenwolf and Brave New World, written by Hermann Hesse and Aldous Huxley respectively. Ideas like duality, surrealism, and wildness generally appeared. With these principles in mind, we examined carefully the typefaces used in both Hesse's and Huxley's creations; Sabon and Garamond appeared catching our attention and, obviously, awakening our adoration. Consequently, the obstacle was to combine the essential features of these font styles with the ideas currently determined. At initially, we made a text font style which was suitable to make up long texts. However, we understood that we needed to refine some attributes to communicate all the concepts. A complete set of capital discretionary ligatures was designed, which convert Hermann in a screen typeface when is needed. We likewise developed swashes (from A-Z) and last kinds (in letters h, k, m, n, r and x in romans, and in letters a, d, e, h, i, l, m, n, r, t, u, x and z in italics), communicating more dynamism and adaptability when it concerns composing visually.
