A New Type,' initially designed in the 1930s by contemporary American designer Alvin Lustig (1915-1955), has been revived as 'Lustig Aspects' through a cooperation of designers Craig Welsh and Elaine Lustig Cohen.

Only twelve letterforms from the original font style had actually been retained in archive product in the numerous decades considering that its preliminary development. Lustig Aspects combines four easy, geometric shapes lined up to an underlying grid with letterform designs that hold real to the spirit of the initial font.

Lustig Aspects at first came to life in 2015 as wood type cut at Hamilton Wood Type & & Printing Museum. The digital version expands on the basic character set with a professional broadened latin character set, small caps and even an Inline variation.
