HWT Republic Gothic was created by Richard Kegler, Miranda Roth and published by Hamilton Wood Type Foundry. HWT Republic Gothic consists of 2 styles and family bundle alternatives. p > The Republic Gothic series was amongst the last original wood type styles made by Hamilton Production Co. It was first shown in Hamilton's New Gothic Faces in Wood Type (c. 1920). The style features a sans-serif design similar to brush-formed letters popular with sign painters of the era.

Originally provided in 6 different widths and in both summary and strong versions, this digital release features the 'Prolonged' width called Hamilton Republic Gothic series 775 & & 776.

The set of overview and solid is created as 'chromatics' that can be printed one over the other to attain multiple color effects or individually as stylistic options. This release includes the first ever digitization of Republic Gothic. The 2 font styles are carefully lined up and kerned to permit multicolor overlayment in any digital design program. It includes a complete Western and Central European Character set.
