The Wood-Regan Instruments Business (Wrico) of New Jersey manufactured for decades a line of lettering packages called the Wrico Indication Maker. With only unique ink pens, plastic templates and a design template guide anybody could letter clean, clear indications, posters and notices.
Based on the very same concepts of architectural templates, the lettering was [for the most part] utilitarian and practical. Couple of design templates were of elegant or ornamental lettering.
Informational Gothic JNL and its oblique version are based on the 4 inch high lettering design templates from among those kits.
