Semi-serif? Semi-sans? Emerging from the hazy border that divides Sans from Serif, Integra aims to incorporate both styles in a cool, sophisticated, contemporary fashion.
With its sleek anatomy, flared terminals and almost non-existent straight lines, Integra was inspired by the stressed out, regulated, unserifed letterforms incised in the early 15th-century journal burial places at Santa Croce church in Florence, and the neoclassical grotto engravings at Stourhead in England that dates from the mid 18th-century. Integra, nevertheless, provides a modern, even futuristic twist to these recommendations by including initial, audacious shapes on essential letters like L, E and X; along with the modern, generous proportions of its lowercase; instilling all of it with a flowing, luminous, Latin American feel.
Integra comes in several weights and italic designs, for text composition and display usage. Its rounded counterforms and arch-like shapes lend texts a large, cool, architectural quality, ideal for advanced content.
