BatesIRISH PENNY is based upon the lettering from Percy Metcalfe's gorgeous and prominent pre-decimal coinage of Ireland, the Barnyard Collection. The font style is more monoline than is standard for Irish insular designs, almost providing the feel of a modern-day soft sans, and perfect for small and big scale screen purposes.
Irish Penny includes a full enhance of Latin Extended-An accented characters, Irish lenited consonants with the dot accent, and the tironian et which is commonly used in Ireland rather of an ampersand. Lowercase characters are offered little caps style, slightly minimized in size and discreetly thickened in weight. The licensed font features a synthetic italic, and although obliques are not so typical among insular typefaces, Irish Penny Italic is an useful wise and sporty extra.
NOTE - Irish Penny includes some characters that are not available straight from your keyboard, however which can be copied from a font viewer such as Character Map, Font Book or FontExplorer, and pasted into your file.
