JAF Facit was designed by Tim Ahrens and published by Simply Another Foundry. JAF Facit consists of 12 styles and household bundle alternatives. p > Facit is a modern sans serif text face. It is designed to be an extremely legible and flexible font that does not draw the attention to itself. Rather of being original by itself it is the result of a careful evaluation of ancient as well as modern-day formal concepts. "It is by meaning impossible to design an un-conventional typeface. Type is pure convention, this is why we can check out each other's written words", states its designer Tim Ahrens.

However, rather than generating an average, existing principles were knowingly integrated into an unique design service: The word 'Facit', in its German variation, suggests 'conclusion'.

The font styles are supplied in OpenType format. Each typeface includes 720 glyphs.

Technically, they follow the Adobe Pro fonts and supply the very same glyph set and OpenType functionality. OpenType functions include ligatures, true small capitals, superiors, inferiors, numerators and denominators. Every typeface contains old style and lining figures, both in a proportional and a tabular design. For some letters there alternate characters.
