Designed by Jonathan Hill, Jaqen is a serif font style family. This typeface has twelve designs and was released by The Northern Block.

Jaqen is a contemporary serif with a distinct aesthetic. Learning from historic methods of practice in metal types the style has been established to improve reading text in modern applications. Initially prepared by hand to assist promote a more natural letter shape, the typeface is then digitally produced adding a more angular expression with wedge-shaped types, open apertures and subtle diagonal tension. The outcome is a healthy serif type household with the ideal rhythm, consistency and calm personality for creating legible text in the digital era.
