The carefully built all-uppercase letters suggested that this traveler appreciated style and legibility. Each picture, postcard and sales brochure that was glued into the journal had a neatly written caption and I admired the care this day tripper took to tape his European trek. While the pages are now yellowed and breaking down, the handwriting is still readable and stylish. Since his handwriting totally suits today's uses, I re-created it in modern-day journalistic style that appears like it was written with a technical pen.
