Karmina was created by Veronika Burian, José Scaglione and published by TypeTogether. Karmina includes 4 designs and household bundle choices. p > Karmina is a text typeface established primarily for pocket books and budget plan editions. It was developed to stand up to the worst printing conditions: low quality papers, high printing speed with web presses and variations in the ink level of the printing press.

Some of Karmina's most representative functions are the rather large serifs, intended to work completely in small recreation sizes, the sharpness of the shapes, consisting of some calligraphic reminiscences, and the large and yet stylish ink traps in the acute connections. Structurally, Karmina integrates a substantially big x-height with reasonably compressed letterforms. The result of these features grants Karmina exceptional legibility and economy.

Karmina functions four weights and 800 characters per weight, including little caps, discretionary ligatures, fractions and a total variety of characters for every use. It likewise supports over 40 languages that utilize the latin extended alphabet. Karmina was chosen in the text typography category at the Letras Latinas exhibition 2006 and won a merit in the European-wide ED-Awards competitors 2007.

Karmina Basic is a decreased variation of Karmina. It is still an OT-font but with no particular functions except of a set of ligatures, class-kerning and language support including CE and Baltic.
