In the early 1950s Vehicle producers started using this sort of joint-lettering (script) to write their brand name or design on their cars. The pattern rapidly made it's method to other markets like electric home appliances and it lasted for a good 30 plus years. Today just a handful of brand names still utilizes this font design for their products.
