Komu is a revival of the design of letters that was often utilized on signboards throughout the socialist period in the former Czechoslovakia. They were generally uppercase letters made from paper and covered with a layer of aluminum foil. Individuals just had to choose the letters (that consisted of a range of widths and sizes) out of a box and pin them up on a styrofoam signboard, therefore making it simple to announce any event.
.Komu includes 2 designs. Variation A is squarish and includes some distinctive characters (K, 5, narrow E, and idiosyncratic diacritics) while version B is rounded with mainly uniform widths (with the exception of E, F and L). The optical variation of the initial lettering style was kept, so that a few of the characters look somewhat darker than others.
.Komu is meant to be used on posters, books and other products about Socialism in our region and consists of complete assistance for languages based on latin script.
