FA Komunikat design was based upon the sketch of distinct lettering from 1932 made by Władysław Strzemiński, Polish lead abstract painter, an artist and a typographer. Strzemiński declared that modern-day financial letter types need to be standardized and based upon lines and arches. He wrote that readability is a matter of routine and after a practice the new letter kinds would be effectively readable for everyone.
In 2004 Artur Frankowski restored initial design creating set of characters, broaden up with characters, punctuation marks and diactrics.
