Krete is a substantial text household by British designer Roy Preston. It is a hardy serif style, anchored by squared off wedge serifs and robust rounds. The figure set is old style, and there are a number of discretionary ligatures and an alternate base-aligning uppercase J. The household boasts a generous series of 6 weights including Light, Book, Regular, Medium, Strong, and Black, each with a drawn italic. It is a good-looking typeface for text settings.
All of the fonts support a prolonged character set that covers a lot of the western and central European languages along with these OpenType features: ligatures, discretionary ligatures, and stylistic alternates.
