Kris was created by René Verkaart and published by Characters Font Foundry. Kris contains 1 design. p > Kris is a powerful typeface based upon humanistic minuscule with a touch of Uncial script. An alphabet with an uncommon appearance. It is based on the paradigm of classical handwriting.

Kris is handwritten with a broad nib pen and ordinary black ink. The rather fanciful shapes are created by raising the pen arbitrarily left and right. This triggers unforeseeable frayed edges that make the typeface exciting. It bursts with character and is really versatile.

Kris is composed by the Dutch calligraphy artist Corrie Smetsers. Corrie tossed all basic characters in a plastic bag and René Verkaart built the typeface and produced all staying characters.

" Most unique about this job was working together with Corrie. She's an expert in handwriting and has established writing systems for the academic sector for decades", René states.
