The hand composition typeface was developed at Polygraphmash type design bureau in 1959 by a popular Soviet book and type designer Pavel Kuzanyan (1901-1992). It was reproduced in the 1960s for slugcasting and machine show composition. Sharp contrast, strong weight, a little condensed Modern Serif with calligraphic components. The typeface works in text and display screen composition, in clinical, fiction and art books. The modified and finished digital variation was created at ParaType in 2002 by Lyubov Kuznetsova.
