Designed by Viktor Kharyk and Anatoly Shchukin, Ladoga is a serif font household. This typeface has 6 styles and was released by ParaType.

Ladoga is one of the most stunning Russian designs from the soviet duration. The type family was developed for Polygraphmash in 1968 by Anatoly Shchukin based upon his own lettering for book covers and titles. It was among the very first attempts to develop a Cyrillic text face in a style of renaissance antiqua. Stylization of broad pen calligraphy resembles early types of Latin types associated with handwritten humanistic small. Special in its character set digital variation of Ladoga was designed by Viktor Kharyk on the base of artworks of Shchukin for ParaType. The family consists of roman and italic styles in screen variation and contains 4 basic styles in text version. The typefaces consist of characters of initial shapes along with more contemporary alternatives. Besides there is a set of additional characters, old design figures and small caps. Ladoga is beautiful in screen sizes and pretty understandable in texts. It's well suitable for fiction literature, historic books, art criticism, religious and philologist works. The first version of the household was released in 2010. In 2013 two vibrant designs were contributed to the text version.
