Lady Rene was developed by Alejandro Paul, Laura Varsky and published by Sudtipos. Woman Rene consists of 1 style. p > Reviewing my production to date, neither so little nor so large, it does not come as a surprise to discover myself now presenting Girl René.

A brief evaluation of my profession would read as follows: graphic designer graduated from Buenos Aires University, a 10-year professorship in Typography in the exact same organization, an illustrator in the making.

For almost 15 years now my work has focused on the style of editorial pieces, primarily books and CD sleeves. Typography proper has constantly been main to my research study projects.

All my obsessions ultimately embodied as much the look for a best, spotless text as for a daring and provoking one. In my view, 'how-to-say-something' ranks greatest among a graphic designer's responsibilities.

It remained in this vein that I called in the composed word to show, to draw, to narrate. Why not reverse the stating and declare that "a word deserves a thousand images"? If so, one single word might set off limitless significances, associations, concepts, and memories in every reader's mind. Language, we understand, has a strong power and is a living expression of a culture.

In my illustrations, letters and drawings reunite in one synergy stated and unspoken, the finiteness of the message and the flexibility of the free reading.

And this is how and when, Girl René, my very first born type font style sees the light of day conceived out of a love of illustration and a reverence for the written word, recalling the whimsicality of the handmade drawing and showing its sensitive, warmth and spontaneity.

Enabled by the qualities of Open Type and the tough, impressive work of designer Ale Paul, Girl René succeeds in composing texts in a basic, organic way by ways of its contextual and stylistic alternates, swash characters, ligatures and linking words.

A bundle of ornamental miscellanea completes the set of signs, making it possible for the user considerable freedom to develop new typographic landscapes.

Lady René is then prepared, very much like a character in a narrative, to come to life in the reader's mind. I anticipate you will enjoy her as much as I did developing her.
