Lamia was developed by Santos Bregaña, Julen Cano Linazasoro, Maore Sagarzazu and released by Atelier laia. Lamia consists of 1 design. p > The Lamia font style is motivated by the work of the most well-known calligrapher of the Basque Nation, Jose Francisco de Iturzaeta Eizaguirre (Getaria1788-Madrid 1853). His writing approach was required in Spanish schools considering that 1835. His 'unpolished Spanish font style' attempted to be more reliable than the more business English version by avoiding embellishments and extreme rear tearing. More similar with the liberal values imported by the French, his offerings looked for harmony, speed and effectiveness to ensure that those in the less-favored echelons of society had a reliable communication tool.

From his 'general collection of characters of European Letters' released in Madrid in 1833, we have chosen the 'lower case pancilla reformed' represented in among the prints. We have tried to reinterpret it by keeping its essence but also guaranteeing that it is viable for potential modern usages which, thanks to its good readability and effectiveness in longer texts, essentially suggests as an ornamental or display typeface. The upper case was produced utilizing the lower case as a recommendation.
