Laski Slab is a detailed suite of 20 font styles conceived for editorial purposes. The type household was designed by Paula Mastrangelo, an Art Director with comprehensive experience in editorial style focused on business communication. Initially developed for an online kids's magazine, Laski was expanded into a multipurpose type family with the technical assistance of Ramiro Espinoza.
Belying the intrinsic robustness of the slab serif category, Laski's humanistic building and construction and subtle calligraphic information lend it a friendly appearance. Round, open letter forms and generous horizontal percentages make it easy to check out. The regular weights carry out impeccably in text sizes, while the bolder versions produce expressive and extremely effective subheadings and headings. Two idiosyncratic stencil versions substantially broaden Laski's creative potential.
Laski Piece is a suite of feature-rich OpenType font styles fully equipped to deal with complex, professional typography. The character set consists of 5 sets of characters, little caps, portions, alternate characters and case-sensitive types. Besides basic Latin its comprehensive character set supports Main European, Baltic and Turkish languages.
Laski Slab got a "Certificate of Excellence" at the 2014 Tipos Latinos Biennale.
