The type family was developed by Paula Mastrangelo, an Art Director with comprehensive experience in editorial design concentrated on business communication. Initially established for an online children's publication, Laski was broadened into a multipurpose type household with the technical support of Ramiro Espinoza.

Belying the intrinsic effectiveness of the slab serif genre, Laski's humanistic building and construction and subtle calligraphic information lend it a friendly look. Round, open letter types and generous horizontal percentages make it simple to read. The regular weights carry out perfectly in text sizes, while the bolder variations produce expressive and extremely reliable subheadings and headings. 2 distinctive stencil variations substantially broaden Laski's innovative potential.

Laski Slab is a suite of feature-rich OpenType font styles completely geared up to tackle complex, expert typography. The character set consists of 5 sets of numerals, little caps, portions, alternate characters and case-sensitive kinds. Besides standard Latin its comprehensive character set supports Central European, Baltic and Turkish languages.
