Librum E was designed by David Bergsland and released by Hackberry Font Foundry. Librum E includes 5 designs and family bundle options. p > The major focus of my life and ministry at this point is book design. In the brave new world of 21st century self-publishing a new paradigm has occurred: the indie little shop. Among the problems is that all books are released as ebooks, and numerous books are published just as ebooks. There are 2 issues with this: character schedule and licensing.

The licensing problem is fixed by consisting of an ebook license with all of the Librum, Librum E, Librum Sans and Bream fonts.

The character accessibility is the core of the design. OpenType features do not work yet with ePUBs [though it remains in the spec, if I understand properly] Kerning does not work, and so on.

So these 5 typefaces have only the 256-character [or less] ASCII set. A different small caps is consisted of. It has lining figures proportional and small caps instead of the graphics. The other 4 font styles have graphics to give bullet options in lists, oldstyle figures , and care offered to character shapes so they will work much better without kerning.

For a good deal, see Librum Book Style Group, for a plan consisting of all fifteen fonts!
