Developed by Jean-Baptiste Morizot, License is a sans serif typeface released by Indian Type Foundry.

License is a typeface developed for vehicle and motorbike license plates. Its letters-- all uppercase-- are monospaced and immediately identifiable; however, they do not look so technical that they 'd run out location in other design applications. For circumstances, License is an excellent choice for address signage, too. While License only includes one set of letters, it offers 3 ranges of characters. The basic numerals are classic-looking, with mostly-closed apertures and low stroke contrast. The characters in Stylistic Set 1 are more streamlined, with normally open counters and increased character distinction. The characters in Stylistic Set 2 are intended for general graphic style work; they feature increased stroke contrast, additional serifs, and related kinds for the '6' and '9'.
