"Liebelei"-- dalliance, flirtation, hanky-panky; kind of small of "Liebe" (German for love)

The typeface Liebelei has its roots back in 1932, when Vienna-based painter Rudolf Vogl produced the poster for a movie called Liebelei after the popular play by Arthur Schnitzler. Just the title letters existed of that typeface. I enjoyed the letters from first blush and continued by adventurously interpreting the missing out on characters.

The objective was to create letterforms that fit to the initial from the 1930s and represent a modern-day multi-purpose font style. It must be a user friendly italic typeface with warm and friendly information and a huge range of alternates and languages. The particular curled ends of the majority of letters offer a script touch to the Liebelei. The first typeface totally developed was the bold one which corresponds to the initial poster lettering, although I tweaked the percentages a tiny bit to a more contemporary shape.

Liebelei covers Western, Main European, and Central Eastern European Languages and consists of also a complete Greek character set. Liebelei is finest for poster style as well as in-depth usage, for example handsome tables, given that it supports small caps, various sort of characters and fractions.
