Loft was designed by Julien Janiszewski and published by Monotype. Loft consists of 28 styles and family bundle options. p > Loft is a typeface household of extremes: from the additional compressed Hairline to the extra broad Mammoth. Paris-based designer Julien Janiszewski's goal was to develop a type household based upon a strict hierarchy - a suite that would provide graphic designers with a tool to create organized solutions. Its design was influenced by 19th-century wood type along with the sign stating "DÉFENSE D'AFFICHER" (Post No Bills) that is ubiquitous in France.

Loft is available in seven weights with matching italics. Surprisingly, counter widths stay the same throughout all weights. As weights increase, the characters extend by developing stroke thickness outside the counter. Loft is space-efficient in lighter weights while making a significantly stronger declaration as the designs end up being much heavier. The Loft typeface family is distinct, versatile, and always intriguing.
