Lorimer No 2 is a sans household developed for screen settings. Narrow letters, tight spacing, and a low x-height make Lorimer № 2 much better fit to show settings than font styles gotten used to work in text settings. Product packaging, identities, and headings are perfect applications for Lorimer No 2.
.Designer James Puckett developed Lorimer No. 2 as the result of investigating nineteenth century memorial engravings. A condensed sans serif inscription on a Manhattan burial vault prompted research study and experimentation. Research showed up comparable letters in American wood type, memorials in an Indian cathedral, and enameled tiles in the New york city City subway. Puckett established his experiments into a type family with 2 widths, five weights, and matching italics.
