Camelot was the first of over 100 typefaces designed by Frederic Goudy. The upper case characters were attracted 1896 for the Dickinson Type Foundry. Goudy was so encouraged by his look for $10 (double what he requested for the drawings), that he invested the next 50 years developing type. The lower case was included by the Dickinson foundry. This Lanston digital release includes a "text" variation based on the smaller sized point sizes of the metal type and a "display" variation based on the larger sizes. The 2 appear various in size however share the specific same line weight when at the very same point size.
