This suite of over 100 decorative characters are credited to Robert Granjon from the late 1500s. The designs were redrawn by the Lanston Drawing office in the 1920s and made well-known by the work of Bruce Rogers who discovered unlimited ways to make fresh structures with just a couple of basic characters. These accessories were digitized by Gerald Giampa in the late 1980s. Mr. Giampa's substantial usage of hand set metal accessories for ornamental typography helped to make a smooth transition to digital format.
