Madelinette is motivated by Palmer Technique which was presented to the US in 1894 as a modern-day option to Spencerian. The technique won numerous awards consisting of the Gold Medals at the Panama Pacific Exposition of 1915 and the Sesquicentennial Exposition in 1926. This disciplined design set the requirement of cursive penmanship for years of American schoolchildren.

Of course, Madelinette was written with a steel nibbed dip pen in black ink ... she's conventional. She looks ideal in grandmother's pearls & & sweatshirt sets. Travels Europe on vacation.
