Designed by Brian J. Bonislawsky and Jim Lyles, Magnate is a serif typeface family. This typeface has two styles and was published by Stiggy & Sands.

The Magnate Household began as a digitization of a movie typeface from LetterGraphics called "Wilshire".

What started as a fundamental glyphset was fleshed out with a complete character set with a smallcaps feature. We likewise chose to add a somewhat more delicate side to Magnate, softening up the sharp style serifs just a little.
