Developed by Guisela Mendoza and Luciano Vergara, Matcha is a script, piece serif and contemporary calligraphy typeface family. This typeface has two designs and was published by Los Andes Type.

We chose to check out the idea of fitness, however from a more natural perspective. With a lot of people consuming detox beverages and consuming raw food, we were inspired to develop a font that mixes the ‘‘ strength' of sports and the organic nature of natural products. The outcome is ‘‘ Matcha': a strong and energetic typeface that likewise flows at the very same time.

Matcha consists of a steady, very friendly Slab face and a calligraphy Script with a handcrafted style: spontaneous and unpredictable with some reverse-contrast alternative characters. Can you think who is the designer behind each style?
